Louis A. DeNardo

July 31, 1925 ~ April 1, 2018 (age 92)

Louis DeNardo, 92, of Forks Twp., passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 in St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem, PA.

Louis DeNardo was born the 7th of 8 children, on July 31, 1925 in Bangor, PA, to Anielo and Mary (Communale) DeNardo.

Louis graduated from Pen Argyl High School and joined the Army Air Corp. during World War II. He served in the war as a plane mechanic/loadmaster on B-17 and B-25’s. After WWII having served in the army air corps, he was availed the opportunity via the GI Bill to attend College, later graduating from Indiana Tech University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He started playing tennis from an early age, playing competitively both in the Military and later for Indiana Tech. A lifelong passion, he continued to play at a high level until recently. He also enjoyed playing golf and had four “holes in one”. Upon graduation from college he accepted a position at a New York International Construction Company, where he helped secure and then manage multimillion dollar projects. It was at Johnson, Drake and Piper that he also met the love of his life and Wife of 61 years, Amy Aiello, he then became Division Chief Engineer and moved to Buffalo where they started their family.  Moving his young family back to the Lehigh Valley in 1965, he later founded Bi-State Construction Company, which has succeeded to this day as a construction company now under the management of his eldest son. Lou is fondly remembered by all as a kind and generous Husband, Father, and Grandfather. In his quiet way, he gracefully imparted by example, the right way to live a faithful life, for which all of us who knew him will be eternally grateful.

In addition to his wife, Lou is survived by his son Greg and wife Arlina of Easton, son Guy and wife Tesa of Plymouth Meeting, PA, son Andrew and wife Diane of West field, IN, son Scott and wife Rae of Nazareth; grandchildren Greg, Camille, Alex, Tommy, Alena, Sydney and Halle. He is preceded in death by his siblings Paul, John, Grace, Rose, Josephine, Charles, and Anthony, with whom he remained close throughout their lives.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). Additional Calling hour will be held on Saturday at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church from 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Easton, PA 18045. Interment will follow at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp., PA.
