Ada Mae Sardegna, 79 of Palmer Twp., passed away Wednesday June 24, 2015 in her home surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on January 21, 1936 in East Stroudsburg, PA a daughter of the late Allen and Margaret Fenugan Phillips and her step-father Gerald Canfield. Ada Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Leon Sardegna in 2012. She was employed as a seamstress for ILGWU/UNITE and later for A & H Sportswear. She attended Polk Township High School. She had a love of animals supporting local shelters and organizations. Ada Mae was also mentor and adopted mom for many individuals with whom she gave love and guidance to. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Easton, and volunteered for Meals-on-Wheels. Ada Mae is survived by her daughter Ann Louise Watson-Yoch of Gladstone, Missouri; step-daughter Stephanie Abruzzese and companion Frank Scagliotta of Easton; a sister Joan Franks of Stroudsburg, PA, half-sister Sharon Schoch of South Carolina; granddaughter Angela Watson; step-grandsons Michael and Stephen Abruzzese and great grandson Bradley James Allen. In addition to her husband, Ada Mae is preceded in death by a daughter Alice Gertrude, granddaughter Valerie Mae, brother Robert Phillips and half-sister Nancy Priester. A calling hour will be held on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 234 Spring Garden St. Easton followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm in the church. Interment will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp.
