Name: Albert N. Fiume, 87 of Bethlehem Twp., passed away Friday September 9, 2011 in Easton Hospital, Wilson Boro. Born: He was born on April 29, 1924 in Jersey City, NJ a son of the late Modesto and Anna Comes Fiume. Personal: Albert and his wife, the former Helene Martinique celebrated 60 years of marriage on June 16th. Albert was employed as a detective for Jersey City Police Department retiring in 1986 and later as an investigator for Hudson County Board of Elections retiring in 1999. Albert served our country in the US Navy from 1942 to 1953. He enjoyed football, especially the NY Giants. Memberships: Albert was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the ELKS Club and VFW both of Palm Coast, FL. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Albert is survived by his daughter Anna Gherardi and husband Jerry of Bayonne, NJ; sons Modesto and wife Susan Fiume of Bethlehem Twp., Albert Jr. and wife Rosa of Palm Coast, FL; grandchildren Albert III, Jeremy. Brothers Alfred, Victor, Paul, Cosmo, Lenny, Danny and a sister Anna all preceded Albert in death. Services: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 11:00am in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
