Alphonso Pirozzoli, 94, of Bethlehem, PA, Formally of Palmer Twp. passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, October 3, 2024.
Born on December 6, 1929 in Plainfield, NJ, he was the son to Alfonso and Elizabeth (DeVico) Pirozzoli. Alphonso graduated from North Plainfield High School, in NJ, class of 1947. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1959. Alphonso was a hardworking man for 37 years at David Smith Steel Co. In South Plainfield, NJ and 7 ½ years as a custodian at Pingry School, in Warren, NJ.
Alphonso was a wonderful husband for 70 years to his loving wife Lois (Patterson) Pirozzoli. He was a great man with a big heart and his family will always cherish their memories of him. He lived in Bridgewater, NJ for 37 years and moved to Palmer Twp. for 24 years. He enjoyed Coin collecting, bird watching, gardening, being in the great outdoors, and spending time with his family.
Alphonso is survived by his wife Lois Ann Pirozzoli, of Bethlehem, 7 children: Thomas Pirozzoli, of Palmer Township, Garey Pirozzoli , of Palmer Twp, James Pirozzoli and his wife Debra, of Flemington, NJ, Debra Walters and her husband Ron, of Sturbridge, MA, Diane Soltis and her husband William, of Longs, SC., Lori Johnson and her husband Brian, of Washington , NJ, and Carolyn Tauriello and Nick Tauriello, of Phillipsburg, NJ; a sister Rose Spinelli , of Whitehouse Station; 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren , and many loving extended family members.
In addition to his parents Alphonso is preceded in death by a sister, three brothers, a granddaughter: Heather Marchie and two great grandchildren Tubal Jr. and Angelina.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street Easton, (Palmer Twp.), PA. An Additional Calling Hour will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m in the Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m in the funeral home. Entombment will be held in Northampton Memorial Shrine, in Palmer Twp. Donations in memory of Alphonso may be made to Wounded Warriors and flowers may be sent to Morello Funeral Home.
