Anna M. (Matrango) Ballato, 96, born November 30th, 1917 in Easton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2014 in Havertown, Pennsylvania. Anna, the matriarch of the Ballato, Matrango, Scalzo, and Piedscalzo families was a loving and devoted mother to her son, and aunt to her many nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and California. Anna was predeceased by her loving husband Michael Ballato, and her brothers, Lawrence and Peter Matrango. Annas gracious presence underscored a profound and passionate love for her family, her faith and her friends. She is survived by her son Michael, Dr. Anthony Mele, Michaels partner of 18 years (both of Philadelphia), and her loving nieces Connie Giacopetti and Mary Ann Murr. Friends and family are invited to attend Annas viewing and funeral mass on Saturday, February 8th, beginning at 9:00AM at St Anthony of Padua Church in Easton.
