Anna M. (Bubba) Bortz, 91, of Bethlehem Twp., PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in her home. Born: Anna was born on January 26, 1923 in Easton, PA. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Portruzzi) Bubba. Personal: Anna was married to Donald F. Bortz, before his passing in 1971. She was a waitress at various downtown Easton restaurants, and she worked as a machine operator at Keystone Snacks in Lower Nazareth Twp., before retiring in 1989. Memberships: Anna was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Survivors: Anna is survived by her daughter Brenda J. (Bubba) VanNortwick of Nazareth; two grandsons, Scott VanNortwick of Bethlehem Twp., and Todd VanNortwick of Palmer Twp.; two great-grandsons, Andrew and Colby VanNortwick of Nazareth; and her special girl, Emily (Black) Peters of Nazareth; along with a number of loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son-in-law Charles W. VanNortwick,, Jr.; brothers Tony, Louis, James, and Frank Bubba; sisters Mary Sagazio, Mae Holden, and Helen Ciavarella; nephews Robert Holden and Louie Bubba; and a niece Shirley Duckworth. Services: A calling hour will be held on Friday October 17th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Twp. Memorial Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions in Annas memory may be made to the charity of choice.
