Name: Anthony J. Amato, 90 of Palmer Twp. passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 in Good Shephard Rehabilitation at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenburg. Born: He was born on November 9, 1921 in Easton a son of the late Pietro and Antonina Rivilli Amato. Personal: Anthony was preceded in death by his wife Mary (Douris) Amato in 2005. He was the co-proprietor with his wife of Tonys Ice Cream Trucks of Easton for many years retiring in 1997. He served our country in the US Army Medical Corps during WWII in the European Theatre. Memberships: Anthony was a member of the Catholic faith. He also was a member of Fleas Club in Easton. Survivors: Anthony is survived by his son Ronald Amato and wife Sabrina of Palmer Twp., a brother Christopher Amato of Easton, grandchildren, Robert Jr., Jennifer, Sophia, Ireland, Elizabeth and Rhonda Phillips, and great grandchildren Hunter and Taylor Phillips, Nicholas and Natalie Amato. Anthony is preceded in death by his son Robert Amato, Sr., sisters Sadie Amato, Concetta Cappelle and a grandson Michael Amato. Services: A calling hour will be held on Wednesday from 10:00am until 11:00am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
