Name: Father Anthony B. Bianco CRSP, 83, of Bethlehem, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 10th in Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital, Muhlenberg. Born: He was born on February 22, 1928 in Voghera, Lombardy, Italy, son of the late Secondo and Domenica Persico Bianco. Personal: He attended Voghera public school and Barnabite Seminary, Cremona, Lombardy. He studied theology in Tournay, Belgium and Rome, Italy. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1958 and a master of arts degree in 1960, both from Canisius College, Buffalo, NY. He continued doctoral studies at Notre Dame University, Ind. Father was ordained on March 24, 1951 at the Barnabite Church, St. Anthony Mary Zaccaria, Rome by Archbishop Alfonso Carinci, and celebrated his first Mass in the same church on March, 25, 1951. He served as hospital chaplain in Buffalo, NY, Tuscarora Indian Reservation, Sanborn, NY; as a teacher at Bishop Gibbons High School in North Tonawanda, NY; community superior and teacher in Bethlehem Catholic High School and superior; pastor of St. John the Baptist Church in Guelph, Ontario, Canada; provincial superior; mission assignment in Manila, Philippines; administrator of Most Blessed Sacrament, Bally; Our Lady Help of Christians in Allentown; and as a chaplain of Allentown State Hospital and Country Meadows in Bethlehem. He also served many weekend ministries in various parishes, until his retirement in 2005. Survivors: Father is survived by his sisters, Romano Bianco Dalcortivo, Rosanno Bianco, both of Italy, Sister Teresa Bianco ASP of Easton; a brother Beppe Bianco and his wife Piera Coda Bianco of Italy; nieces Renata Dalcortivo and Luisa Dalcortivo Mandarano and her husband Onofrio; nephew Enzo and his wife Valeria, all of Italy; grandnieces Federica and Alessandra, and grandnephew Andrea, all of Italy. He is preceded in death by siblings Teresina, Giuseppe, Mario; brother-in-law Agostino Dalcortivo; and a nephew Paolo. Services: Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also on Friday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 am in St. Anthonys Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton. Fr. Anthony Blaise M. Bianco, CRSP will be laid to rest at the Basilica of Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, Buffalo, New York.
