Antoine Elias Bassil, (Tony), 62, of Easton, PA passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital- Easton Campus after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Sabbah-Jezzine, Lebanon, a son of Elias and Therese (Nasr) Bassil.

Tony was married to the love of his life Sia Bassil for 34 years. He was the current Financial Controller for Northampton County, and formerly was the Financial Controller for the City of Easton. Tony and Sia also own The Carmelcorn Shop in downtown Easton. Tony loved to travel, ski, spend time with his family, and was an avid fan of the Boston Celtics. He was always the life of the party. Tony had a strong devotion to God and St. Charbel, the patron saint of his beloved Lebanon.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, in Easton, the Knights of Columbus, the Pomfret Club, in Easton, and the Northampton County Democratic Club, where he served as the treasurer.

Tony is survived by his loving wife Sia Bassil, of Easton; daughters Theresa Bou Zgheib and her husband Nabil, of Lebanon, Jessica Akiki and her husband Rami, of Easton; a son Antoine E. Bassil II and his girlfriend Alexa Koorie, of Easton; grandchildren Antonia and George Bou Zgheib; aunt Antoinette Nasr Bteich; sisters Bernadette Assily and her husband Souhail, of Lebanon, Cathy Bteich and her husband Charles, of Lebanon, Dolly Bassil, of Canada; brother Jean Claude Bassil, of Lebanon, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with an additional calling hour on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA 18045. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 132 S. Fifth Street Easton, PA 18042, at 10:30 a.m. on September 30, 2021. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Easton, PA.
