Antonio Tony Curcio, 90, of Easton passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 8, 2017 in Alexandria Manor with family by his side.
Tony was born in Petrizzi, (Calabria) Italy to the late Dominic and Elizabetta Curcio.
Tony trained as a cobbler and came to American in 1947 with a strong desire to work and earn a comfortable living. He opened two shoe repair businesses, one in Phillipsburg, and the other in Easton. After closing his businesses he continued to work in manufacturing, eventually retiring from the former Schaibles Bakery in Easton. He firmly believed in working hard and doing all he could to provide for his family. Tony enjoyed planting his vegetable garden, cooking and the many trips to Atlantic City over the years with family. He was a member of the local Bakery and Confectioners Union. He was married to Concetta (Connie) for twenty-six years before her passing in 1981. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church of Easton.
Tony will be deeply missed by his children, daughters Linda Micci and husband Robert of Bethlehem, Donna Curcio of Easton, and son Anthony Curcio and wife Tammy of Bethlehem; grandchildren Nicholas and Kasilee. He is also survived by a sister Maria and husband Alfred Piperata, and a brother Frank Curcio and wife Gerda; niece Michele Curcio and a nephew Michael Curcio.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with an additional calling hour on Thursday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.
