Aoutel Tony A. Karam, 88, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in Easton Hospital.

Aoutel was born in Kfarsghab, Lebanon, a son of the late Antonios and Khalaleh Karam.

Aoutel was married to the former Catherine Estephan before her passing in 2000. He came to the United States in 1954 with his wife and children. He was an assembly line worker for American Can Company, retiring in 1996, and previously worked at Sanco Piece Dye Works in Phillipsburg, NJ.

Aoutel, like his father before him, was dedicated to the church and its people. He served Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church for over 60 years. He always wanted to share in the joyous times and sad times of his church family.

Aoutel is survived by a son Anthony Karam and wife Deborah of College Hill, Easton; a daughter Khalale Karam of Palmer Twp.; a sister Adele Budwee of New South Wales, Australia; grandchildren Kristen Gould, Adrienne Da Re, Sara Karam, Alexandra Overcash; and ten great-grandchildren, and dear friend Eric Eaves. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his brothers Joseph Karam, and Kevin Karam.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 12th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with Prayer of the Incense at 7:45 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). An additional calling hour will be held on Wednesday, December 13th from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in the funeral home. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4th & Ferry Streets, Easton. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.
