Name: Atea G. Youngblood, 87, of Palmer Twp., passed away Thursday, April 15 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. Born: Atea was born January 5, 1923, daughter of the late Vincent and Grace Covello Greco. Personal: Atea retired from the Palisades School District in 1985 where she taught the stringed instruments and was the orchestra director. She also graduated from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music with a major in violin performances. She performed in orchestras in the tri-state area, also in Ohio and North Carolina. A past member of the Allentown Symphony Orchestra, she also performed chamber music extensively in the Lehigh Valley. Atea and her husband Archerd celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 10. Memberships: Atea was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. She was a member of PSEA and PASR teachers organizations. Survivors: Atea is survived by husband Archerd, a son Wayne and wife Francine of Bethlehem, daughters Annette Malone and husband Dr. Robert Malone of Los Alamos, NM, Grace Hollen and husband Robert of Cerrillos, NM, a sister Rose Althouse, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 21, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am in the funeral home.
