Name: Aziz P. Koury, 90 of Easton passed away Saturday August 8, 2015 in Manor Care Health Services, Palmer. Born: He was born on August 15, 1924 in Kfarsghab, Lebanon a son of the late Peter and Wadiha Kassis Koury. Personal: Aziz was preceded in death by his wife Madalene Koury in 2005. He was former proprietor of the Courthouse Caf and Southside Beer and Soda in Easton for many years before retiring in 1989. Memberships: He was a very beloved member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church in Easton where he served the social activities of the church, especially for the annual Heritage Days. In addition he also was a former member of the churchs choir for many years and a member of the Immaculate Conception Sodality in Lebanon before immigrating to the United States. Survivors: Aziz is survived by his sons Leonard and wife Joanne Koury of Bangor, PA, Peter Koury of Easton; his daughter Louise and husband Badwi Jacob of Palmer Twp.; sisters Zakiha Merhi of Australia, Mataline Rehayem of Australia; a brother George Koorie of Easton; 6 grandchildren Joe, Christopher, Leonard Jr., Andrea, Rosie, Philip and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, a sister Rosemont Moussa and a brother Anton Koury preceded Aziz in death. Services: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm with Prayer of the Incense at 7:45pm and Thursday morning from 8:15am until 9:15am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Easton (Palmer Twp.). A Divine Liturgy will be held on Thursday at 10:00am in the church, 4th and Ferry Streets in Easton. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.
