Barbara L. Airasian, 89, formerly of Drexel Hill, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Arden Courts Memory Care. Born in Easton on April 15, 1936 she was a daughter of the late James T. Sr. and Margaret (Jackson) Russell. Barbara graduated from Easton High School. She earned her certificate of nursing from Easton Hospital School of nursing. She worked as a registered nurse and made her way up the ladder to nursing supervisor. She later left nursing and worked as an inspector with the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations until she retired.

She was one of Jehovah’s Witness and was a member of the Upper Darby Kingdom Hall. Barbara was a kind and giving person, helping as many people as she could. She loved animals of all kinds and had created small homes in her backyard for local wildlife and cats ensuring they had shelter, food, and water when they needed it. She donated to just about every wildlife sanctuary that she could find.

Barbara is survived by her grandchildren, John Airasian; Paige Gower and her husband Rob; great granddaughter, Raegan; sisters, Margaret Anderson and her husband, Bernard; Joan Russell and her husband, James Kutz; and Nancy Marchetto. She remained close to and loved all of her nieces and nephews on both sides of her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 65 years, Martin Airasian, son, John Airasian, a granddaughter, Taylor Airasian, and brother, James T. Russell, Jr.
