Barbara A. Assise, 84, of Easton, PA, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg Campus.

She was born in Phillipsburg, NJ, a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Bertha A. (Heebner) Grainda.

Barbara was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and various social clubs in the area. She loved going to casinos , wineries and spending time with her family. She lived life to the fullest with her close friends.  She was employed for 20 years by LANTA as a bus driver. She was previously employed as a seamstress at Northampton Pants and Strongwear Pants Co.'s and also worked part time for Easton Area School District.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Gary Assise and wife Joanne of Palmer Twp., Steven Assise and wife Nancy of Palmer Twp, and Richard Assise and wife Elyse of Forks Twp.; a sister, Ann Marie Wismer Rodenbach of Palmer Twp.; grandchildren, Brett, Lauren, Kyle, Kelly, Erika, and Justin; and great grandchildren, Peter, Alexander, Maxwell, Emma, Cole, Hailee, and Ethan. She is preceded in passing by her parents and a sister JoAnn Grainda.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with an additional calling hour on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp), followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
