Barbara Melhem, 56, of Easton passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 in Lehigh Valley Hospital following a courageous battle with lung disease. Born in Kfarsghab, Lebanon on January 10, 1968, she was the daughter of the late Melhem Jahjah Melhem and Hawa (Farhot) Melhem.

She worked as a seamstress. She actively cared for and took care of others, always ready to lend a helping hand. Barbara most loved shopping for others. For her, shopping was an expression of love, and she delighted in finding the perfect gift for each person in her life. Her acts of generosity were not just about the gifts themselves, but the joy and thoughtfulness she poured into each gesture. Barbara was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church and the Sodality of Our Lady in Kfarsghab, Lebanon.

Barbara is survived by her brother, Youssef Melhem; uncles, Tannous Farhot and Zahi Farhot; aunts, Josephine Koury, Chafika Koury and Sue Olson.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2024, from 11:30 am until 2:00 pm with The Prayer of Incense at 1:00 pm at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 55 South Fourth Street, Easton, PA.
