Obituary

Barbara Elizabeth Trapp passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021 in her home.

She was born in Phillipsburg, NJ, a daughter of the late John and Eleanor (Hicks) Bramick. Barbara was married to Norman E. Trapp, with whom she celebrated 41 years of marriage last May. She was a graduate of the Phillipsburg High School class of 1953. Barbara, along with her husband, are members of Trinity Episcopal Church of Easton and the Northampton Country Club.

Barbara had a love of music that began as a child with piano lessons and developed into a love of the American Songbook which she sang so beautifully. Barbara was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. Her culinary talents were enjoyed by her family who always asked for the recipes. Barbara and Norman enjoyed vacations, family, friends and had a passion for arts and culture. They enjoyed Broadway, Cabaret and Jazz shows in New York City. They traveled extensively in the United States and Europe. Favorite vacations were Vermont in the winter and Stone Harbor, NJ in the summer.

Together they are supporting members and guarantors of the State Theatre, the Morristown Performing Arts in NJ, the Williams Art Center, and the Bach Choir of Bethlehem.

The memories of Barbara's kind heart, joyful laugh and sophisticated sense of timeless style will always be treasured by all who knew her.

She is survived, remembered, and forever loved by her sons Stephen Peterson and wife Beth of Lilburn, GA, Gregory Peterson of Charlotte, NC; step-children Michael Trapp and wife Susan of Readington, NJ, Linda Reese and her husband Joseph of Bethlehem, Susan Szilagyi and husband Jeffrey of Hellertown, Carol Trapp of Hellertown, William Trapp and his wife Tracy of Bethlehem; her brothers John Bramick of Bernardsville, NJ, and James Bramick and wife Ellen of Milford, NJ., a niece Susan Bramick and her husband Walter of Glen Gardner, NJ, 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Morello Funeral Home, Inc. 3720 Nicholas St. Easton, PA (Palmer Township). Online condolences may be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com.
