Name: Barbara J. Zimmerman, 58, of Easton, passed away on Wednesday, December 21st in her home. Born: Barbara was born on August 23, 1953 in Dover, NJ a daughter of Angela Rekun Speck of Wharton, NJ, and the late Harry Speck. Personal: Barbara was a physical therapist for Easter Seals Eastern Pennsylvania. Barbara enjoyed gardening, reading, and traveling. She had a great appreciation of the outdoors and the wonders of nature. She served many years as a Sunday school teacher and was very devoted to her job as a physical therapist helping children with disabilities. Barbara was a loving wife and proud mother, who loved spending time with her family. She and her husband Thomas Zimmerman celebrated 25 years of marriage in June. Memberships: She was a member of Unitarian Universalist Church of Bethlehem. Survivors: In addition to her husband and mother, Barbara is survived by her son Rafael Thomas Luis Zimmerman of Palmer Twp.; daughter Mariana Lynn Zimmerman at home; brothers Robert Speck of Nashville, TN and Harry Speck of Hackettstown, NJ. Services: Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and also 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Morello Funeral Home Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, Christmas Eve, at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 424 Center Street, Bethlehem, PA.
