Bertha (Betty) L. Ganssle, 95, of Easton, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016.
Betty was born in Wilkes Barre, PA, a daughter of the late John and Bertha (Jacobs) Kaschenbach.
Betty was married to Joseph F. Ganssle with whom she celebrated 75 years of marriage. She was a graduate of GAR High School in Wilkes Barre, class of 1940. She worked at Orrs Department Store in Easton at the snack bar, before retiring in 1975.
Betty was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Palmer Twp., and Daughters of Fatima.
In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by her sons Frederick Ganssle and wife Betty Ann of Clovis, CA, Thomas Ganssle and wife EiLeen of Palmer Twp., Jeffrey Ganssle and wife Lynn of Maitland, FL; daughters Geraldine Helms and husband David of Titusville, FL, Joanne Schaller and husband Richard Schaller, Sr. of Palmer Twp., Sandra Vollman and husband Craig of Mt. Pleasant, NC; 16 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sisters Margaret Shevets, Mary Brown, Rita Pfarr; brothers John, George, Leonard, Edward, and Robert Kaschenbach.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1:00 pm in Holy Family Manor, 1200 Spring Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem, PA.
