Carl F. Gold, 85, of Bethlehem Twp., passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in Old Orchard Manor Care. Carl was born on January 6, 1930 in Stockertown, PA, a son of the late Fred E. and Katie (Siegfried) Gold. Carl attended Nazareth High School. He and his brothers owned Gold Brothers Construction Co. for 10 years. He worked for Pearsall Chemical and ITT Electron Tube Division. He built and owned Goldies Shopping Complex in Palmer Twp. from 1969 to 1976. He also was in charge of building maintenance at the Alpha Building in Easton, before retiring in 1990. After retirement he spent his time inventing many things from his wealth of ideas. Carl was of the Protestant Faith. He was a member of the former Stockertown Memorial Hall, and a member of the Safety First Fire Co. in West Easton, PA. Carl is survived by a son, Carl B. Gold and wife Nancy of Nazareth PA; a daughter Jayne M. Gaughran and husband Ed of Saylorsburg, PA; grandchildren Christie Meichur and husband Brad, Matthew Gold, Pamela Arnold and husband Sean, Patrick Gaughran; great-grandchildren Jonathan, Elizabeth, Jacob, Nathan and Ryan. He was also known as grandpa to Joey, Carrie, Taylor, Mason, Dean, Alex and Leah. He is also survived by his companion of many years, Lilian Frankett of Bethlehem Twp; Linda Mastruzzo of Wernersville, PA, Kim Burgess, of Alburtis, PA and Sandra Thomas, of Bethlehem Twp. He is preceded in death by his brothers Kermit, Weldon and Leland Gold; and a sister Lorraine Handelong. A calling hour will be held on Monday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp).
