Name: Carl P. Petrignani, 87, of Easton, passed away peacefully, Saturday October 17. He was surrounded by his family.
Born: Carl was born August 10th 1922 in Easton, PA. He was the son of the late Paul and Angelina (Losito) Petrignani.
Personal: He was married to the late Yolanda (Luchetti) Petrignani who passed away in 2006. Carl graduated from Easton High School in 1939. He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and was called to active duty in November of 1942. He served honorably during WWII until his discharge in March of 1946. Carl was a union carpenter for many years before retiring in 1984. He was a trumpet player in the Charlie Perello Band, the Vagabonds, the Kingsmen, and other local bands and orchestras. He supervised the building of the Forks Twp. Emergency Squad Building. Carl also coached little league baseball for Forks Twp. Athletic Association for many years.
Memberships: He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Easton, PA. He was a member of the Lehigh Valley Carpenters Union, Local No. 600.
Survivors: Carl is survived by his son, Paul and his wife Kate of Easton, PA, his daughter Leeann and her husband Jeffrey Febbo of Bethlehem Twp., PA. He is also survived by grandchildren Paul and Caroline Febbo, Alex and Adam Petrignani.
Services: A calling hour will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2009 in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc. 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. from 8:15am until 9:15am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am in St. Anne Catholic Church, 450 East Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017.
