Name: Carmela Mella Ann LoPrete, 81 of Easton passed away Monday January 24, 2011 in St. Lukes Hospital, Allentown. Born: She was born on April 26, 1929 in Easton a daughter of the late Charles and Sadie Alfero Gioieni. Personal: Carmela was preceded in death by her husband William in October of 2003. Carmela was a graduate of Easton High School class of 1946. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with friends. Memberships: Carmela was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church in Easton. She also was a member of the St. Theresa Sodality and Holy Cross Auxiliary for many years. Survivors: Carmela is survived by her daughters Renee Ann and husband Bruce H. Evans of Slatington, Charleen Ann LoPrete of Easton; a brother Vincent Gioieni of Palmer Twp; grandchildren Brett William Evans, Nicole Renee Evans and great grandchildren Anthony and Nicholas Evans. Services: Calling hours will be held on Friday evening from 6:30pm until 8:30pm with Prayer of the Incense at 7:30pm and Saturday morning from 8:15am until 9:15am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00am in the church, 4th and Ferry Streets in Easton. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.
