Obituary

Name: Carmella D. Mammana, 98, passed away on April 23 at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth. Born: Born on December 9, 1913 in Roseto, PA, Carmella was a resident of Easton most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Daniel DeCesare and Adelina Pacifico DeCesare. Personal: Carmella worked as a seamstress in various apparel factories in the area for more than 50 years, retiring in 1980 from Suzette Dress Co. In her younger days she was a pianist and played trombone in the Easton High School band. Memberships: Carmella was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Survivors: Carmella is survived by her son Dennis Mammana of San Diego, CA; grandchildren Terrianne Yeager of Bethlehem, Ricky Mammana of Easton, Denise Wagner and Delina Martin, both of Tucson, AZ, Crystal Hahn of Nazareth and Dawn Mammana of Easton; 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; sister Vivian Gualberti of Easton and brother Lawrence DeCesare of East Brunswick, NJ. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank L. Mammana; her son Patrick Mammana; and siblings Jane Bossert and Nicholas DeCesare. Services: A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton PA (Palmer Twp.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1:00 pm at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton. Interment will be at Gethsemane Cemetery. Memorial Contributions: Contributions in memory of Carmella may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
