Carol A. (Crawley) Matheis, 80, of Effort, PA, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital – Anderson Campus.
Born in Trenton, NJ; she was a daughter of the late Clyde Crawley and Dorothy (Mullen) Crawley.
Carol was the owner of Radiant Star Rest Home for more than 20 years where she served as a Nursing Home Administrator. She was also a German Shepherd dog breeder and owner of Mountain View Kennels. She loved her animals, especially her dogs, and was active in the Delaware Valley German Shepherd Dog Club.
She attended Victory Baptist Church in Brodheadsville and Cornerstone Evangelical Church in Easton for many years.
A loving mother and grandmother, Carol is survived by her three sons, R. Brett Matheis and wife Michele of Washington, NJ, Randy Matheis and wife Ann of Noblesville, IN, and Dan C. Matheis and wife Kristin of Alexandria, VA; a brother, Sid Crawley; and three grandchildren, Ashley, Daniel, and Kyla. She is preceded in death by siblings, Clyde Crawley, Jr. and Shirley Crawley.
A calling hour will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton PA (Palmer Township), followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
