Catherine M. Gardella-Shaheen, 67, of Northampton, PA passed away on Sunday January 1, 2017 in her home with her loving husband by her side.

Catherine was born in Staten Island, NY, a daughter of the late Frank and Margret (Tomasulo) Gardella.

Catherine was a graduate of Moore Catholic High School in Staten Island, NY and attended college at Moore School of Art & Design in Philadelphia, PA and Northampton Community College. She was married to her loving husband Michael Shaheen for 15 years. Catherine was an I.T. productions supervisor for AT&T before retiring in 2012. She worked part time at Weis Markets as a certified pharmacy tech for 2 years. Catherine loved painting, drawing, sculpting, photography, writing short stories and poems. She had a deep love for the theater in NY, and traveling.

Cathy was a person of deep faith and love for her church, pastor, and family. She was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, in Easton, PA.

Cathy is survived by her loving husband Michael Shaheen, of Northampton, a brother Frank Gardella of NJ, and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with The Prayer of The Incense at 7:30 pm am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). An additional calling hour will be held on Thursday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in the funeral home. A Divine Liturgy will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4th & Ferry Streets, Easton. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.
