Catherine M. "Kate" Henshaw, 73, of Easton passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at her niece's home surrounded by family. Born in Easton on September 3, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Lucille (Decker) Henshaw. Kate graduated from Notre Dame High School. She entered the work force and began her career as a secretary in Easton Area High School's guidance counselor's office.

Kate was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church where she sang in the church choir and volunteered at the parish center. She was a member of the Sacred Heart of Sodality. Kate had a wonderful voice and liked to sing. She traveled all over the world, enjoying the sights on many cruises. In her younger years, she kept active practicing karate and achieved a black belt second degree.

Kate is survived by her sisters, Marjorie Calandra and her husband, Raymond of Berlin, MD; Jean Beegle and her husband, Richard of Northampton; brothers, Arthur Henshaw and his wife, Corinne of Berlin, MD; Robert Henshaw, Sr. and his wife, Teresa of Bethlehem; James Henshaw, Sr. and his wife, Victoria of Greenbackville, VA; nephews, Matthew Henshaw and his wife, Valerie of Edgewater, MD; Shamus Henshaw and his wife, Shaza of Macungie; Robert Henshaw, Jr. and his wife, Dawn of Bethlehem; Sean Henshaw and his wife, Monica of Bethlehem; Andrew Henshaw and his wife, Hadar of Philadelphia; Ryan Beegle of Northampton; nieces, Christine Benoit and her husband, Greg of Berlin, MD; Amy Simms and her husband, Tim of Ellicott City, MD; Stacy Buchaine and her husband, Dan of Summit HIll; Courtney Searfass and her husband, Harold of Bethlehem; Kristen Beegle of Northampton; and 24 great nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) An additional calling hour will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Ninth and Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will follow at Northampton Memorial Shrine.
