Catherine M. Nicrone, 99, of Northampton passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in Alexandria Manor in Nazareth. Born on May 5, 1925 in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Rosaria (Greco) LaDuca. She was a bindery worker for Mack Printing. She and her husband, Joseph Nicholas Nicrone, celebrated 50 years of marriage before his passing in 1997.

Catherine was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Northampton. She enjoyed the company of her fellow parishioners at the Young at Heart meetings at her church. Catherine was a wonderful cook and baker. If she wasn't in the kitchen herself making tasty dishes, she was getting new recipes by watching the Food Network.

Catherine is survived by her son, Salvatore Nicrone and his wife, Deborah of Middletown, DE; daughter, Joanne Pinette of Northampton, PA; sister, Joyce Creazzo of Easton, PA; sister-in-law, Rosalia LaDuca of Easton and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Catherine was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Lionel Pinette; brothers, Angelo LaDuca and Joseph LaDuca.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) An additional calling hour will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Road, Bethlehem, PA at 11:15 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA.
