Obituary

Catherine F. Schinstine, 88, of Easton, PA, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.

Catherine was born in Easton, PA, a daughter of the late Ciro and Josephine M. (Zucchero) LaDuca.

Catherine was married to William Schinstine Jr., before his passing in 1992. She was a sewing machine operator at the former Shapiro and Sons in Easton before retiring in 1983. She enjoyed camping, and was a loving grandmother. She lived for her grandchildren, they were the joy of her life.

Catherine was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, where she was a CCD teacher.

Catherine is survived by a son William Schinstine III, daughters Cathleen Bisher, both of Easton, Dawn Stuber and husband Monroe of Jacksonville, NC; a sister Lena Appleman and husband Ed of Nazareth; a brother Sam LaDuca of Easton; grandchildren William III, Kristy, Shelby, Monroe Jr., John, Kevin, Keith; great-grandchildren Cameron, Kensey, Averie, Ethan, Ariella, Stephanie, Charley, Johnny, Monroe III, Nicole, Johnny Jr., Taylor, David, six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a sister Josephine M. Fye; brothers Joseph and Anthony LaDuca.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with an additional calling hour on Saturday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp. Online condolences may be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com
