Charles M. Ballato, 73 of Palmer Twp. passed away Wednesday May 4, 2016 in Easton Hospital, Wilson Boro.

He was born on February 5, 1943 in Easton a son of the late S. Charles and P. Nettie Gerbino Ballato.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife the former Rose Sidoti in 2008. He was employed as a customer service clerk for the former Mack Printing and Cadmus Specialty Publications until his retirement in 2004. Charles was a graduate of Easton High School class of 1961. He proudly served our country in the US Army from 1964-1967.

Charles was very active and a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Easton. He was a member of the church choir, Holy Name Society where he was awarded Man of the Year in 1999, Golden Age, a St. Anthonys FESTA volunteer, helped with church decorating, was a collection counter and served as an Altar Server for many years. He was also a member of the CWAIU, AARP and EAHS Band Boosters.

Charles is survived by his daughters Theresa A. Ballato and Eustace R. Mann of Palmer Twp., Stephanie A. Shupp and husband John of Palmer Twp.; a brother Anthony J. Ballato and wife Christine of Easton; grandchildren Madison and Patrick; two nieces, several cousins, and his grand dogs.

Calling hours will be held on Friday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and on Saturday morning from 10:15am until 11:15am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at noon in the church, 9th and Lehigh Streets in Easton. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
