In Loving Memory of Charles E. "Zeke" Bellis III
June 23, 1960 to September 1, 2025
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Charles E. "Zeke" Bellis III, 65, of Palmer Township, who passed away peacefully in his home on September 1st, 2025.
Born on June 23, 1960, Zeke was the beloved son of Joan M. (Belkey) Bellis of Palmer Township and the late Charles E. Bellis Jr. A proud 1978 graduate of Easton Area High School, Zeke's roots in his community ran deep and his love for Palmer Township was unmatched.
Zeke lived a life of service, purpose, and devotion. He was the longtime owner of Easton Beverage Company Inc., where he built not just a business but lasting relationships and a reputation for integrity and hard work. But Zeke's heart was never far from the community that shaped him.
A lifelong supporter of Palmer Township, Zeke gave tirelessly of himself as a dedicated coach, public servant, and friend to many. He served proudly on the Palmer Township Board of Supervisors, helping to guide the community he held so dear. He was a volunteer coach for countless seasons, nurturing young athletes in football and wrestling, and was an active member of the Varsity E Club. His passion for youth sports and community development left a lasting legacy, one felt on the fields, in the halls of local schools, and in the hearts of all who knew him.
Zeke's presence was felt wherever he went through his warm smile, his steadfast loyalty, and his unwavering commitment to others. He was a man who believed in showing up, speaking honestly, and making a difference.
Zeke is survived by his loving mother, Joan; his siblings: Bridget Weiss and her husband John of Nazareth PA; Timothy Bellis of Washington DC; and Thomas Bellis and his wife Carol of Mechanicsburg PA. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews: Jennifer Thompson, Andrew Bellis, Samuel Bellis, John Weiss, Michael Weiss, Ryan Weiss, Edward Funwela, and Allison Funwela, great nephew and niece Benjamin Bellis and Elliott Thompson, all of whom were proud to call him "Uncle Zeke."
He is preceded in death by a sister Jean Funwela and a brother David Bellis.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, September 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Morello Funeral Home Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Palmer Township. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Zeke's memory may be made to the Palmer Township Athletic Association or the Palmer Municipal Fire Department, and mailed to: Palmer Township, 3 Weller Place, Palmer PA 18045.
Zeke's legacy lives on in the community he helped shape, the lives he touched, and the love he shared. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever honored.
