Charles Edward Brighthaupt: A Life Well Lived

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Edward Brighthaupt, a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather, who departed this life leaving behind a legacy of love and accomplishment. Born in Ashland, Pennsylvania in 1946, Charles embraced life with vigor and integrity, touching the hearts of all who knew him.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon; his treasured daughter, Jennifer, and her husband, Donato (Dan) Colucci. He was a proud grandfather to Hailee and Owen Colucci, whom he adored, as well as the loving brother of his sister Margaret Mary and her husband Raymond Pepe of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and uncle to a number of nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his son, Charles (Chip) Brighthaupt, Jr., and his mother and father Maxine and Charles J. Brighthaupt.

Charles' professional journey was marked by dedication and success. He attended Harrisburg Area Community College, where he earned his associate degree in Electronic Engineering. He retired from AT&T in 2004 after a distinguished career and later contributed his talents to Sandoz, Inc. He also obtained his Master's Certificate in Project Management from Stevens Institute of Technology's Total System Development program. His work ethic and commitment earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.

For 43 years, Charles resided in East Amwell Township, Ringoes, New Jersey, where he built a life full of memories, volunteered for township committee posts, and formed lasting friendships. An Eagle Scout, he served as a mentor and leader to many young scouts, shaping and guiding their futures. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed both freshwater and surf fishing. Recently, he moved to Palmer Township, Pennsylvania, where he enjoyed time spent with his family, creating new memories and sharing in the joys of togetherness.

In his honor, a Celebration of Life event is being planned for May, to be attended by family and close friends, where they will come together to remember and celebrate a man who brought so much joy and wisdom into the world.

Charles' legacy is one of love, perseverance, and unwavering devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those whose lives he touched.

Arrangements are entrusted to Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) Online condolences may be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com
