Obituary

Name: Charles M. Pettit, 76, went to the gentle and welcoming arms of his Lord on Wednesday, June 23 at Easton Hospital. Born: Charlie was born on September 20, 1933 in Warrick, NY, son of the late Walter and Frances Sisco Pettit. Personal: After serving in the Navy during the Korean War, Charlie worked in the Paper Division of Dixie Cup Company for over 34 years, retiring in 1993. Memberships: Charlie was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church. He was an avid New York Giants fan, Phillipsburg Stateliner football, and he was active in the United Paperworks Union. He was a member of many social clubs in the Easton area. Survivors: Charlie is survived by his wife of 54 years the former Jenny Puccio Pettit, a son Charles J. Pettit and wife Karen of West Easton, a daughter Amy J. Lindgren and husband Robert of Wilson Boro, PA, three grandchildren Elizabeth and fianc Dan Unangst, Jenifer Pettit and companion Sean Grove, and Erin Pettit, two sisters-in-law Josephine Sanguinito and husband Samuel of Easton and Stella Wilson of Indiana, many nieces and nephews, boy-hood friend Russ Willever, and breakfast buddies Tom & David Halley, Dick Hawk all of Easton and his many friends at the YMCA. He is preceded in death by a sister Lillian Viscomi, who was much loved by Charlie. Services: Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) immediately followed by a funeral service at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Anthonys Cemetery.
