Name: Charles J. Tuskes, 82, of Bethlehem Township, passed away peacefully on February 28, at St. Lukes Hospice House with his family at his side. Born: He was born on August 17, 1927 in Alpha, New Jersey, son of the late Charles and Margaret (Basek) Tuskes. Personal: Charles and his wife Irene Lillian (Unger) Tuskes were married 62 years last November. He was proud of his loving family. Charles served in the United States Navy during World War II on a P.C.S. 1380 as Q.M. (Quarter Master). Charles was self-educated. He started his business in 1950 as a mason and then expanded into a building and developing company, Charles Tuskes & Son, Inc. Charless son Charles Michael has continued his legacy in the building and development business. Charles was an avid golfer and had three hole-in-ones in his lifetime at Northampton CC, Twin Lakes CC and Inverrary CC. Memberships: Charles served as chairman of the Bethlehem Township Zoning Board and was President of the Bethlehem Township Lions Club. He was a member of the Pomfret Club in Easton. He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church. He belonged to Northampton Country Club, Sand Springs CC, the Village Golf Club of Royal Palm Beach, Royal Palm Beach, FL, and previously belonged to Green Pond CC, Brookside CC, Binks Forest CC in Florida and Inverrary CC in Florida. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife of 62 years, Irene Lillian (Unger), He is survived by a son Charles Michael Tuskes and his wife Pamela of Easton, daughter Terrianne Tuskes of Loxahatchee, FL. Three grandchildren Michael, Lisa Calandra and husband Jeffrey, Dana Fratantoro and husband Daniel, and one great granddaughter Madison Tuskes all residing in Easton; sisters Margaret Troiani and husband Peter of Bethlehem and Viola Evans of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by a sister Theresa Murray and a brother Arthur Tuskes. Services: Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 4 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday, March 5 from 8:30 am until 9:30 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Palmer Twp. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 5 at 10:00 am at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church at 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA. Interment will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem, PA.
