Obituary

Charles J. Volpe, 104, of Palmer Twp. passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 14, 1921, in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily, Italy, he was the son of the late Sebastiano and Marie (Turdo) Volpe. He graduated from Phillipsburg High School, class of 1940. Charles enlisted in the United States Army, and Air Force in July of 1941, where he served as a radio operator. Charles owned his own business, Charles J. Volpe Electric Service, which specialized in appliance and television installation in Phillipsburg, N.J. After closing his business, he worked as a maintenance technician an electrician for Dixie, later American Can, and James River.

Charles was a member of St. Janes Frances de Chantal Church, in Easton, PA, a member of the former Castel Club, where he served on the board, and the American Legion Post #9. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing with other residents of the Highlands at Glenmoor.

Charles is survived by his loving children: Charles "Ronnie" Volpe and his wife Lynne, of West Easton, and Charlene Harrison, of Palmer Twp., grandchildren: Kelly, Kara, and Shayna; great grandchildren: Justin, Joshua, Ryan, Kyla, Sebastian, and Vivien; great great grandchildren: Justin Jr, Joseph, Lily, Jason and Jeremy.

In addition to Charles's parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife Rosemarie (Sofie) Volpe whom passed in 2003, a brother Dr. Russell Volpe and sisters Carmella West and Constance Pizzino.
