Conan P. Anthony, 87, of Easton, PA, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 in Manor Care, Palmer Township, PA.Conan was born in Easton, PA, son of the late Nassim and Katherine (Canone) Anthony.Conan was married to the former Doura Kassis before her passing on April 24, 2014. Conan worked for Conrail for 40 years. Conan was a devoted member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church in Easton and the Holy Name Society. He was a well-respected member of the Maronite Lebanese community and was an integral part of the church, especially between 1952 and 1972, where he worked alongside of the pastor in maintaining the parish facilities. Conan was a devout Catholic who had a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother, praying the rosary daily. He was very proud of his heritage and had an enduring love for his family. This was only surpassed by his love for his granddaughter Taryn who was his pride and joy.Conan is survived by a son Emil P. Anthony and companion Nancy Hudock of Pittstown, NJ; granddaughter Taryn Anthony of Philadelphia; brothers William Saad of Lebanon and his wife Madeleine, Nabih Saad of Australia and his wife Juliette; a sister Barbara Badway of Australia; a sister-in-law Eva Anthony of Providence, RI; brothers-in-law Joseph and Peter Kassis of Palmer Twp. and sister-in-law Nadia Maroun of Sydney, Australia; numerous nieces and nephews; and a faithful, devoted cousin Marlene Bedway of Easton. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his brothers Emil and Charles Anthony and a sister Martha Koury.Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with Prayer of the Incense at 7:45 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). An additional calling hour will be held on Saturday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in the funeral home. A Divine Liturgy will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4th & Ferry Streets, Eason, PA. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.In lieu of flowers, contributions in Conans memory may be made to Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 55 South 4th Street, Easton, PA 18042.
