Connie A. Merlo, 77, of Easton, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in Manor Care Nursing Home. Born: Connie was born in Easton, PA, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Angeline (Goffredo) Platia. Personal: Connie and her husband, Ignatius P. Merlo, would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in September. She was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1954. Connie was a Dental Assistant for Dr. Joseph Loicano and Dr. Kathleen Zyskowski of Easton, for over 30 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Memberships: Connie was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and the Golden Age Club. Survivors: In addition to her husband, Connie is survived by a son Michael Merlo of Easton; a daughter JoAnn Davis of Easton; a brother Joseph Platia of Wilson; grandchildren Tommy, Shannon, and Jennie; and several nieces and nephews. Services: Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th and Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA, Interment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Twp.
