David John Ernesti, 74, of Easton, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2016 in St. Lukes Hospital, Anderson Campus.

David was born in Beemer, NE, a son of the late John and Marjorie (King) Ernesti.

David was married to the former Joyce Salamone, with whom he celebrated 33 years of marriage last April. He was a graduate of Holy Guardian Angels School in Nebraska, and served in the US Navy. David worked in Tractor Trailer Refrigeration, then was a Manager at Lehigh Valley Dairies, and lastly worked for Air Products before retiring in 2006.

David was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church; American Legion, and 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by a son Michael J. Werner and wife Denise of Nazareth; daughters Janyne Ackerman of Easton, Denise Werner of Newark Valley, NY; sisters Darlene Ernesti of Columbus, NE, Sharon Rayburn of Euless, TX, Barbara Schumacher and husband William of Omaha, NE; grandchildren Kayleigh, Matthew, Mark, Brandi and husband Tony, and Jimmie; great-grandchildren Trace, Charlotte, and Jayden.

A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:30 am in the church. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp).
