David F. Farnholtz, 80, of Bethlehem is dancing with Jesus as of Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Muhlenberg. Born in Dolgeville, NY. He was a son of the late Frederick and Gertrude (Hall) Farnholtz. He graduated high school in NY and attended University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering. In his early working career, he was a chief electrical engineer at AT&T. He then became a full-time pastor of Agape New Testament Fellowship in Schnecksville, PA for a total of 40 years.
David was an avid outdoors man, enjoying hunting and fishing. He loved vacationing in Canada with family and friends. He loved to watch sports, especially when his grandchildren were playing as well as Nebraska football.
He wrote a book and handed out endless letters and Biblical teachings to all to encourage others and direct them to a closer relationship with God. He was a kind man and always lent a helping hand to anyone in need. He treasured spending time with Jesus, family, and people in general.
He is survived by his wife, Ersina DiSante Farnholtz; daughter, JoDee (Farnholtz) Cook with her husband Donald Cook; son, Nate Farnholtz with his wife Cathy Farnholtz; daughter, Mona Lisa (DiSante) Bartolacci with her husband Michael Bartolacci; daughter, Jacqueline DiSante with her husband Matt Lear; son, Anthony DiSante with his wife Kerrin DiSante; and 11 grandchildren and one great grandson.
His first wife, Sharyn Farnholtz and sister, Marion Cool are also with Jesus.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.). An additional visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Monday, July 22, 2024 followed by a funeral service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at 3:00 PM on Monday at Slatedale Cemetery, Brown Street, Slatington, PA 18080. Memorial contributions may be made to the church, House On The Rock Family Church, 1336 Jacobsburg Road, Wind Gap, PA 18091. or Bethlehem Township Volunteer Fire Company, P.O.
