David J. "Sticky" Cappello, 70, of Martins Creek, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospice, Bethlehem.

Born in Wilson on October 28, 1951, he was a son of the late Emanuel and Jean (Torquati) Cappello. He graduated from Easton Area High School. Upon his graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force. After he left the military, he entered the workforce and was currently employed at A&H Sportswear.

David was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 9. He loved watching sports and could be found at home watching the Wisconsin Green Bay Packers or Penn State Nittany Lions game during football season. During the spring he would trade football games for baseball games and rooted for the Minnesota Twins or the Philadelphia Phillies. He enjoyed doing yard work and liked to sit around a fire at night, sharing a good conversation with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Susan A. (Heitzman) Cappello; son, Chad Cappello and wife Rochelle, Wilson; daughter, Brittany Cappello, Martins Creek; grandchildren, Sage, Devin, Kristian, Cionna, and Chance; and great granddaughter, Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Rebecca Cappello.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM and Friday, September 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Morello Funeral Home, Inc. 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.).  A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
