Diane P. Astore, 85, of Palmer Township passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Born on November 12, 1939 in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Ann Addesso.
Diane graduated from Battin High School Elizabeth, NJ. She was employed by Sears and Roebuck Elizabeth, NJ, then for the Florida Turnpike Authority. She was a member of Saint Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church and was devoted to the Blessed Mother, praying the rosary every day. Diane was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with her friends. She also enjoyed watching her favorite shows and movies while crocheting an inumerable amount of blankets. But, her favorite pastime was spending time with family. Her nieces and nephews will always remember holidays at her home, especially baking Italian knots cookies for Christmas. Diane was a great cook, her homemade sauce was enjoyed by all. She will also be remembered for her funny one liners like, "I get everything but money!" Diane was a special person, and everyone she met truly loved her. She will be greatly missed by all.
Diane is survived by her brother Eddie and his wife Alice, sister in law Nancy, brother in law Kevin Wright; godson Jacob Wright; stepchildren David Astore and his wife Linda, Gerald Astore Jr and his wife Anna, and Carol Astore; step grandchildren Vanessa, and her husband Manny, Holly and her husband Jimmy, and Marcella; step great- grandchildren Peyton, Penelope, Benjamin, and Alexander; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Diane was predeceased by her husband, Gerald (Jerry) Astore Sr; her brothers Louie, Rudy, Neil, and Robert Addesso, her sister Gina Wright, and her niece Debbie Addesso.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp. Arrangements are entrusted to Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.)
