Obituary

Dolores Dollie Datesman, 82, passed through Heavens door on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 after a courageous 28 year struggle with cancer. Born: Dolores was the daughter of the late Clarence and Hilda (Fehnel) Lahr. Personal: Dolores was a devoted and caring wife to Richard Datesman for 61 years. She loved to be involved in craft shows with her daughter and husband. She also loved to go camping and staying at their weekend retreat in the Poconos. She was devoted to her faith, and above all Dolores made motherhood a vocation. She was a graduate of Nazareth High School, class of 1949. The family would like to thank the Health Care Professionals from Lehigh Valley Hospice where she received excellent care. Membership: Dolores was a longtime member of St. Johns Lutheran Church at Farmersville where she was a member of the choir. Survivors: In addition to her husband, Dolores is survived by a daughter Michelle, wife of James Goodman of Nazareth; a son Kyle Datesman of Bethlehem; grandson Jared and his wife Allison of Florida; a sister Gladys Muffley of Bethlehem; a brother Donald Lahr of Tioga County. She was preceded in death by two sisters Bea and Dorothy; and a brother Albert. Services: Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be private. Memorial Contributions: Contributions in Dolores memory may be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church, 8065 William Penn Hwy., Easton, PA 18045.
