Donald J. "Murph" Wambold, 93, of Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth, PA died peacefully in the early morning hours on Friday, February 25, 2022 under St. Luke's Hospice Care.

Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was a son of the late James and Verna (Hunter) Wambold. He and his wife, Mary A. (Myer) Wambold, were married for 63 years. In the Army he was a staff driver in Germany giving him the opportunity to see parts of Europe. Donald was employed for 33 years making surgical needles at Ethicon, inc. in Bridgewater, NJ.

He especially liked fishing, hunting, and reading about nature and the outdoors. In retirement, he enjoyed spending the winters in Palm Harbor, FL.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Patricia Wambold; son, Stephen Wambold; grandson, Jonathan Wambold-Fox and wife Alexandra; brothers, Paul Wambold; Richard Wambold "Dick" and wife Georgeann.

Donald was predeceased by a son, William "Billy" Wambold; brothers, James and John "Jack" Wambold; sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Dennis; and Joan Swope.

Per his wishes there will be no public services.
