Dora Ann Serfass, age 88, formerly of Palmer Twp. passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 1, 2022. It is with heavy hearts, but beautiful memories of a life well lived, we mourn the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister, and friend Dora.

Although a failing heart took her from this world, she is in heaven with the love of her life, Clarence James Serfass, as well as all her family and friends who have gone before her.

She was born April 27, 1934 to Irene and Robert Bittenbender and grew up in Sciota, PA. Dora graduated from Stroudsburg High School and met Clarence at a hotdog roast at Fenner's Creek. In 1963 they built a home and settled in Palmer Twp. PA and then created a loving family and a successful dental practice.

Dora was very involved in Church, Bible study, quilting guilds, The Order Of The Eastern Star, camping, the game of Rummikub, antique cars, and The Blue Mountain gas and steam engine shows in Jacktown, PA. She lived a full life.

In addition to her parents and husband Clarence J. Serfass, Dora is preceded in death by a brother Glen and sister Jane.

She is survived by her sister Marie Heller, wife of Skip, sons; Mark Serfass, husband of Marion, Brian Serfass, husband of Ann Marie, daughter Jamie Miller, wife of Brett.

Grandchildren; Ryan Miller, Rachel Helgert, Anna Jane Serfass, Jonah Serfass, Christopher Serfass, and Ella Serfass.

Special news to Dora was the announcement of her first great grandchild to be born February 2023.

The family would like to thank the staff of Moravian Hall Square in Nazareth for the loving care they gave Dora and Clarence through the years.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, October 8th from 9 AM to 11 AM followed by a prayer service at 11 AM in the Morello Funeral Home Inc. 3720 Nicholas St., Easton, (Palmer Twp.) PA. Interment services will follow in Northampton Memorial Shrine. In Lieu of flowers contributions in Dora's memory may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
