Doris J. Lombardo, 78, of Walnutport, PA, passed away contently on Monday, August 24, 2015 at home with Regina, whom Doris considered a daughter. Comforted by her family and friends, Doris was anticipating her journey to be with her loved ones that have passed before her. Doris was born in Easton, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Messick) Kalnas. Doris was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1955. She was the Northampton County Sheriffs Real Estate Deputy for the last 30 years, and retired December 2014. She was also employed by Hesss and BonTon department store as a sales associate and in customer service as well for 25 years. She enjoyed crafts, shopping, and spending time with her friends. Doris was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and had a truly loving and faithful heart. Doris is survived by a son, Michael P. Lombardo, of Whitehall; a daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Carl Sharpe, of Walnutport; her former husband and his wife, Mickey V. and Nadine Lombardo, of Bushkill Twp; a sister, Margie Kalnas of Las Vegas; a brother and his wife Michael and Phyllis Kalnas of Wilson Borough; grandchildren Elizabeth, Megan, Vincent and Luke Lombardo, and Zoe Sharpe; and four nephews. Doris is preceded in death by a son, David Vincent; a daughter, Lori Ann Lombardo; and a brother, Frank Kalnas. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 31, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also on Tuesday, September 1, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Morello Funeral Home, located at 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.), Tuesday Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am with personal stories and testimonies in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Twp.
