Obituary

Dorothea "Dottie" M. Brenan, 77, of Bonita Springs, FL and Easton, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem, PA.

Dottie was born in 1944 in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Patrick J. and Eleanor (Hofstad) Manning. She received her bachelor's degree from Notre Dame of Maryland University and a master's degree in Contract Negotiation from George Washington University. Dottie met her beloved husband, Kevin D. Brenan, Sr., in 1964, and they married in 1967.

In addition to her cherished husband, she is survived by her two loving sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin D. Brenan, Jr. and Kathleen of Suwanee, GA, and Terence P. Brenan and Megan of Westfield, NJ. She also leaves behind her adoring granddaughters Margaret, Casey, Maeve, and Molly. She was predeceased by her brother, Patrick J. Manning, Jr.

Dottie worked at AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Avaya in various positions in Basking Ridge, NJ and Coral Gables, FL. Dottie and Kevin lived in many different places and traveled extensively, meeting countless friends along the way. Dottie loved planning and taking family vacations, entertaining, golfing, painting, and playing bridge. She never shied away from exploring a new hobby or adventure.

Dottie was most recently a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Naples, FL.

She will be fondly remembered for the many kindnesses she bestowed upon her family members and many friends. She was a smart, independent, witty, caring person with an adventurous spirit and a zest for living each day to the fullest.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). An additional calling hour will be held on January 3, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Palmer Twp, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in the church. Please note that face masks are mandatory in the funeral home and church.

There will be a Celebration of Life in Bonita Springs, FL in the coming months, and interment will be at a later date.
