Obituary

Douglas Dwight Sos, 72, of Nazareth, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 in Gracedale Nursing Home.

Douglas was born in Easton, PA.

Douglas was married to the former Anne Kimani and he is preceded in death by his first wife Valerie (Sottolano) Sos. He was a Supply Sergeant for the US Army for 25 years, and served during the Vietnam War and the Gulf War. Douglas enjoyed pitching quoits at Nancy Run Fire Hall for many years. He was an avid Bingo player. In his younger days he loved to golf and caddy at Northampton Country Club.

Douglas was a member of the Catholic faith, and attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and St. Peter and St. James Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife, Douglas is survived by his sons Christopher Douglas Sos and wife Sandy of Easton, Kevin Matthew Sos and wife Jessica of Easton; step-daughters Angela Kimani and Jessica Kimani of Africa; his sisters Maryanne, Elaine Van Horn, Barbara; grandchildren Christopher, Logan, Caitlin, Kyra, Renee, Sierra, Alissa, and Nathan. He is preceded in death by his brothers Butch Sos and Bill Sos.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 3:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
