Doura Anthony, 88, of Easton, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014 in Manor Care, Palmer Twp, surrounded by her loving family. Born: Doura was born in Kfarsghab, Lebanon, a daughter of the late Abraham and Nazha (Sassine) Kassis. Personal: Doura and her husband Conan celebrated 65 years of marriage this past year. Doura was faithful to her church, her church community and most importantly her family. She enjoyed working in the church hall and looked forward to the Lebanese Heritage Day Festival each year, dedicating countless hours contributing to its success. Her true passion was cooking and baking, especially for her family. She was undoubtedly a wonderful Lebanese cook. Of the many joys in her life, her true love was for her family of which she devoted her entire life to taking care of. Memberships: Doura was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church. Survivors: In addition to her husband, Doura is survived by a son Emil P. Anthony and wife Nancy of Pittstown, NJ; brothers Peter Kassis of Easton, Joseph Kassis of Palmer Twp.; sister Nadia Maroun of Sydney, Australia; cousin Marlene Bedway of Easton; granddaughter Taryn Anthony; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Evette Elias, Laurice Tabet; a brother John Kassis; and a sister-in-law Barbara Kassis. Services: Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Prayer of the Incense at 7:30 pm at Our Lady of Lebanon Church, 4th & Ferry Streets, Easton, PA. An additional calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 am in the church. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.
