Edith I. Abate, 98, of Easton, PA passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, March 18th 2017.

Edith was born in Emmaus, PA a daughter of the late Stephen and Valentina (DeSota) Matura.

She is preceded in death by her husband Donald who passed away in 1993.

Edith was a loving mother and faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Easton. She is survived by her daughters; Felicia Twigg, Valentina Hoover, Donna Stone, and Maureen Abate; Twelve Grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, at 10:00 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 9th & Lehigh St. Easton, PA followed by interment in Northampton Memorial Shrine. There will be no calling hours.
