Edward Joseph Ferraro, 69, of Easton passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023. He was born on December 30, 1953 in Easton, PA; the youngest son of six children of the late Raymond A. and Frances C. (Frinzi) Ferraro. Edward was a 1971 graduate of Easton High School where he was a star athlete in wrestling which earned him a wrestling scholarship to Indiana State University. Upon his college graduation in 1976, he worked as the Chief Health Inspector for the City of Easton until his retirement in 2013.

Edward's wrestling career didn't end in college. He was a coach for Easton High School for twenty years, Lafayette College for three years and Pleasant Valley High School for six years. He also was the director and announcer for eight years for the National High School Wrestling Championships.

Edward was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Liberty Hose and Easton Sports Booster Club. He enjoyed being outdoors either hunting or fishing. His favorite vacations included going to the beach.

Survivors for Edward include his son, Padon Ferraro; companion, Terri (McAuliffe) Shuman; sister, Joanne Dolla and her husband, Harry; brothers, Angelo Ferraro and his wife, Joanne; Raymond Ferraro and his wife, Sharon; Robert Ferraro and his wife, Jeanne; grandchild, Dylan Ferraro.

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Ferraro.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Morello Funeral Home Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) An additional calling hour will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 8:15 am until 9:15 am in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on March 1, 2023 at 10:00 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Nineth and Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA.
