Elizabeth Gertrude Correll, 98, known to her family and friends as Betty, passed away peacefully from this life on May 22, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband, John A. Correll, Sr. on September 19, 2009. John was the love of her life and together they shared 63 loving years of marriage.

Betty was born January 14, 1927 in Easton, PA to the late George and Edna Dicker. She was a Wilson High School graduate which is where she meets her husband, John. After graduation Betty worked as a typist at Davies-Strauss-Stauffer Co. in Easton, PA. On October 23, 1946 John and Betty married at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Jane's all 98 years of her life. Her second full time career was devoted to raising their six children and running a household. Betty loved children and would continue throughout her life to show great affection, love and support to all new arrivals in the family.

Betty was a wonderful, caring mother and will be lovingly remembered and missed by her six children John, Jr. and his wife Susan Ostertag of Stonington, ME; Susan and her husband David Kennett of Poughkeepsie, NY; Kathleen and her husband Jim Fondi of Stroudsburg, PA; Gregory and his wife Cheryl of Bethlehem, PA; Mary and her husband Eric Trinkle of Dover, DE and Mark and his wife Amelia of Nazareth, PA.

Additionally, Betty (aka Grammy and Great-Grammy) will also be lovingly remembered and missed by her eight grandchildren and spouses/partners -- Lily and Marcus, Michael and Kelly, Aaron and Leslie, Chris, Molly and Brad, Olivia and Rob, Maddy and Giuseppe, Nate and Alexandra and by her great grandchildren Brian, Brianna, Theo, Ivy, Felix and Johann who have only known her briefly but will hear many stories of her love. She will also be missed by her brother George Dicker and his wife Joan and her sister-in-law Nancy Dicker. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, from the Correll, Dicker and Fleming families, that will remember her with great fondness and affection.

In addition to being predeceased by her husband John she was predeceased by her dear sister Jane Fleming and brother James Dicker, her five Correll brothers-in law (Joe, Clarence, Doug, Jake, Ben), her sister-in-law Jane Bittner and granddaughter Nicole.

Betty enjoyed cooking and baking. For many years she and John prepared Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for friends and families to enjoy.  Making cookies and making chicken soup were just a few of many highlights enjoyed in Betty's kitchen. Betty also liked eating out and that included breakfast at the diner after her INR's. Children were the apple of Betty's eye and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and seeing her great grandchildren when she could. She was also an accomplished seamstress. When her children were in school Betty was a volunteer at both St. Jane's elementary school and Notre Dame High School. Betty also enjoyed travelling with John after he retired and Alaska, Texas and Maine were places they enjoyed exploring.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Jane Frances De Chantal Roman Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA 18045. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in the church at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, William Penn Hwy., Easton, PA. Arrangements are entrusted to Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton.
